Hi everyone. In the late '90s I wrote a short story which my professor suggested I publish. It's time to dive in to that and I'm looking for advice on how to begin this process. Anything you have to offer will be appreciated.
20 years later has your audience changed or do you want to modernize your voice re-writing certain words/phrases.....is your story dated or timeless ???....why don't you share a page or two lead us into your tale.....maybe the professor was assigning you to answer these questions you ask of us now ?
@Azraeloki -- Short stories are generally magazine (electronic and paper) fare. Google first: Paying markets for short stories.
If you know the genre, include that in the search. If it's a slice of life piece, ad the word literary. I'd have a beta reader at least look at it before submitting it anywhere, though.
