well, that's a term that confuses me

Creative nonfiction is a genre of writing that uses literary styles and techniques to create factually accurate narratives. Every word must earn its rent in the sentence!

creative means to create, non fiction means revealing facts. I must of fell asleep in class that day, which I did a lot, Just saying.
I'll have to check it out, I'm ignorant to it really, being honest.

yes, ummm, see, its like, Itell you my story, but Imight combine the neighbor whose appearance and physical location of living next door with my cousin who relayed a piece of the story to me while pumping gas as 1 composite character if it smooths it out out but it reads more like newspaper reporting but not just the fact but the why and what that why means in the big picture.... and ive been writing down the details for 40 years as good practice. ALWAYS changing the names to something similar but different to protect ...me of course lol so from now on we are known as USA and newgirl676.

dam, sounds heavy but I sort of see what your saying. I myself when I watch a good movie with a stud muffin hero character I almost become that person to give me the sense of greatness. ))))

@newgirl676 -- Has to be a tough thing to do, but I can see the need for it. How much have you gotten into the research and how difficult is it to get good information?
Also, are you going to be doing this in documentary style, or with fictional elements?
I'm writing my first book in the creative non- fiction genre
