I don't often STRONGLY say "don't bother reading this book!" But I'm going to take the time to do just that, so that I might save someone from wasting money, time, and effort on this particular fail. I found it SO unbelievable that I even found a video to post in its (dis)honor:

Do you find that having read the first chapter you feel that you have invested so much of your time into it and the author, presumably not a stupid person if she can write and have someone publish her story, you had better carry on reading because it must get better or you will discover the key to the whole thing that you currently are not comprehending?

yes, most often that is the case, but again in general these cases don't prove to get better or worthwhile reading to the end. like recently, when i stooped to finish one of this american "writer"'s fiction works: despite having written in excess to 30 novels, being acclaimed & profusely published, i reckon he writes in an awkward & illogical way, his characters infuriating & hysterical at times. no more of that junk.
