Hello, joining you because I seem to be drifting towards mostly vegan food. I have always been allergic to cow's milk, too poor to eat much beef and not in love with processed meat. There is fish, which presents a problem. I grew up with fish, herring, cod, other fish from the North Sea. Here in America, herring is being ground into chicken feed, and the eggs sold as enriched with omega -3.
My vegetarian voyage started with Indian food. I am quite adept with the methods and spices. Vegan cooking slipped in there watching The Happy Pear on YouTube. Their chickpea with greens curry was the first dish I cooked. Delicious. I look forward to discussing our lifestyle with all of you.
I also have the issue with dairy. It can be sneaky in affecting a part of one's body without them making a connection (it can reduce your immune system). I also have a small problem with gluten. One great cultural group that has both vegan and GF are Thai food/restaurants.
