I am trying to be a vegetarian. My current roommate who is leaving soon does most of the cooking and has meat every day. My doctor discourages my attempts because she says I won't get enough vitamin k or protein. Any suggestions in that regard?

Tomorrow I’m going to Trader Joe’s ... my get fat headquarters. My list is vegan ice cream, brownie cookie crisps and wine. I doubt I can grab just those things and go, Trader Joe’s will run about 150 bucks by the time I’m done.

One of the negative aspects of vegetarianism / veganism for me is eating out and dining with guests. On restaurant menus I'm ordering a salad. If I have a dinner date, I often make it at my house so I cook. I would appreciate any advice .
