Good point, possibly there is someone out there with a Phd in Roman era footwear.
@Surfpirate In fact not long ago, 50 plus years perhaps, it was quite common for whole families to share shoes. People often see the past only through the lens of there own times and cultures.
@Fernapple That is very true, we all come with our own filters. Sharing one pair of shoes must have made getting around pretty tricky, worse if you were sharing one pair of pants as well.
