Sanity makes it hurtful to look at social media (or at least some social media).

Yea that article hit the nail on the head. I don't have any friends but I did follow acquaintances from HS college and work. I found it made me feel more isolated and was an additional source of depression. Now I use social media with ghost accounts just to explore topics I find Interesting.

I lost a lot of friends who got sick and tired of me being sick and tired. Then when I got better I didn't have the money to join them going out for dinner or drinks. Some times I was too tired and wanted to stay home. I accept my lack of energy and Dan is learning to deal with it. I have good days and bad days.

My friends now know I’m only free after 3pm because I have to get my sleep or I’m messed up for a week or more.
But it’s still limited.

Yes.
Yes yes yes.
It’s painful to see friends from my “well” days moving on with their lives and traveling and so on.
It really hurts.
Fortunately my sense of humor has drawn in others on Facebook and that helps.
But still - the parties and trips I’m no longer invited to. It stings and makes me feel worse.

Can we discuss this without anyone accusing us (me) of being insensitive?

I don’t know. Give it a go.
Yet please don’t deny our own experiences.

@Sydland Nevermind.
