Unexpected Encounter. This guy buzzed me tonight while I was pumping gas, and landed on a nearby column long enough for me to snap a picture. Luckily, my windows were down and the phone was readily accessible.

A lovely female Eastern box turtle that I encountered in the woods while looking for birds. She's a welcome sight--the first land turtle I've seen this year.
