The original ”Canadians” were the native Americans who first fframe and travelled this land. They were Canadians!

Hello they were not Canadians until 1867 . You left out the Metis as being here with Inuit and other first nations
I've been to Canada several times and to Toronto once. I really want to go back but it's just a little more difficult than it used to be since 9/11. I will have to move "getting a passport" up higher on the priority list.

Canada was built by foreigners from all over the globe. Some were enemies before they even got here because of religion or past wars in their land and brought their beliefs with them and their racist thoughts.The First Nations were eager to meet these foreigners on the shores for fur trades, shared their Peace pipes with them , helped them settle, only to lose their land to them later, follow their laws, and not be respected. Purely Canadian to me means Peace, Love, willing to help the needy, Hippie Indians

@ThomasBonus I was very young the first time I went to Canada. I thought the waitress was nuts when she asked if I wanted gravy with my fries. I don't eat much fries, but I eat them with gravy. People think I'm nuts! Gravy > ketchup
@TheGreatShadow I worked in a restuarant during HS and in the kitchen they had turkey gravy beef gravy and tomato sauce . Every time I walked through the kitchen I'd grab a couple of fries and dip them in the gravy . I enjoyed that .
I like gravy on fries , maple syrup on flapjacks and french toast but watching sports bores me .
@Besalbub Right, eh? When I had it for the first time it was white gravy. There is a popular fast food joint called Dairy Queen. I get their chicken strip basket with fries with extra gravy! Some for the chicken. Rest for the fries!
@DonaldHRoberts I'll devifately do that if I'm up that way. Any brands/chains you recommend?
