@OldGoat43 my cat is very clingy when I’m sick or upset. She saved my life by warning me that people were breaking into the house and my house by warning that the basement was flooding because the sump pump failed in a rainstorm. She greets me at the door when I’ve been gone for awhile and chatters in such a way that I swear she’s saying “where the hell have you been? I missed you!” She’s plastered to my leg right now so I don’t get this suggestion that cats are cold and don’t care about owners?!?! ???

@Killtheskyfairy . I've had cats with me my whole life, and there have been a full variety of their personalities. The smartest cat was Ricky, he managed the house and me. Ricky went hiking with me and crossed a river to follow me. The two most affectionate were Prudence and Zippy. They would follow me everywhere and if I sat still they were on me. The most aloof was Shamu, all he wanted was to go out and hunt. Sometimes he didn't come into the house for a couple of days. My most loveable one was Kumquat... here's his photo. I miss all of them that have passed through my life.
