Do not know, never had that situation come up.

I did have to get exploratory surgery done on Nala because the vet that first spayed her, before I adopted her, missed a piece of ovary tissue and she continued to get in-heat. That cost me $450, which included everything, anesthesia, blood test, I.V. treatment, pain meds, etc.

As a side note, I contacted the first vet (not mine) before doing that and he insisted nothing could have been left in her.

Squirrels can be quite dangerous as their teeth are sharp and they also have claws.

@Justjoni That may be a problem since they could get lucky and do a lot of damage to a cat, of course the cat could also do some damage to them.

@dalefvictor If a cat chooses to attack another critter with claws and teeth, it should at least be a fair fight. I adore my cat, but ecologically he is a subsidized predator, unfair advantages galore. I hope he’s smart enough to look but not attack.
