Thats one beautiful orange tabby called Groot! excellent mousers too, my mom has one.
Had an orange tabby when I lived in rural MD. As long as you took the one he had just "caught" away from him, then he'd straightaway go after another. Otherwise, he tended to "play" with the previous one for a while. Cats are definite predators, & unlike dogs, you can't turn them into vegetarians, they are unashamedly carnivorous.
oh yea,lol I know the "play" youre talking about, I can't count how manytimes I rescued the play prey from their clutches, Kinda like the "fat cats" who are in controll, Im starting to understand now where that description comes from! Been feeling a little mousey lately!lol
Did you know if they're taken away from their Mom's too early they don't learn to kill? Yup.
At least one of my three was with their Mum plenty! (That was a gross morning.).

Posted by LaurenI thought this was an accurate representation of how we feel every time we remember our last cat, which happens often when my daughter and I laugh over our current cat's antics.
