I decided I never wanted children when I was a teenager. Mainly out of selfishness. I wanted freedom. It also helped my decision by seeing my older siblings being mired down with all their many children. (15) I did get to get some nurturing in by helping raise one of my nephews. I also homeschooled him for 5 years, and he’s just finished his second year in . I’m 52 now. No regrets at all. I prefer to put my nurturing into my love relationships. ?

There are many ways to still be an influence on kids (if you want to) without actually creating one... We should focus on the ones that are already here and miserable.

Me too! Our entire culture since the beginning of time has mandated the necessity for women to Define themselves by their ability to breed. I think that's bullshit! I don't have children, and I have been able to have the finances, time and freedom to nurture the things that I find most important in this life. None of them included my own crotch droppings!
