Well, we knew Chad Wolf's appointment was illegal to begin with; now the ramifications are becoming clear. This is what happens when you have a Hitleresque/Stalinesque chief executive, who demands personal loyalty above all else, driving out every department head with a hint of independence and factual knowledge in favor of those who will blindly answer "Yes, sir" and follow his inane, illegal orders. Kjirsten Nielsen was no wild-eyed progressive, but she pushed back on the stream of orders that actually violated the law and put immigrants in danger of their lives. It's documented that ICE and Border Patrol went behind her back on a lot of issues, actually cutting her out of the loop because she tried to restrict them to what authority the law provided them, in order to do what they considered Trump's bidding.
