I believe Beau is right about some of these people. They are ashamed that they are so ignorant of history. So their children must not be exposed to that history.

&, they want to control the 'narrative'. Erase History here...revise History there...promote Myths & slant History...& on top of that promote only the 'Science' they want to believe ... militarize Science to make it easier to 'influence' "others" & eventually here (tho most police forces are 'militarized' already). That way one can control & "lead" the plebes, er, I mean citizens, & neither the kids, or even the adults, will ever have a glimmer of any "unpleasantness", past or present...
This was such a surprise, and yet not, because it's such a good book. I read it at our public library. I sometimes think public libraries may end up as our final bastion of knowledge, if they can only keep the government away.

I agree about our libraries. It may come to a point that we need to step up and stop the destruction of knowledge by these people. That does feel like what is happening to me. These people donât understand something, so it has to go. We canât let that happen.

I haven't heard of them attacking public libraries yet, perhaps because they aren't the type of people who would go to one so they have no idea of what's available there, but I'm sure they'll try as soon as they figure it out. I'm definitely ready to fight for them (the libraries ).
