Great read.

Have always loved Amory.

Had no idea he had relatives in the Ukraine.

From the article;

“Solar and wind are now the cheapest bulk power sources in 91% of the world, and the UN’s International Energy Agency (IEA) expects renewables to generate 90% of all new power in the coming years.

The energy revolution has happened.

Sorry if you missed it,” he says.

There are hundreds of ways to lessen climate change and help the environment. Roads can be made from solar panels or used tires. Heat pumps are far more efficient than other types of heating, many other examples.

Heat pumps should be every where.
In England, they are flooding old coal mines and pulling the heat (56 degrees Fahrenheit) from them to heat houses.

@Beowulfsfriend Sure, a type of thermal bore. In areas of New Zealand, Iceland, and other places they access the superheated water for heating, hot water, hot tubs even. Once the system is in place it's almost free.

I have heard of this before and love it. Would probably have it if we hadn’t had the nitwit Bush installed by the rotten USSC.

It goes much deeper than Bush. Manchin, McConnell, and huge money lobbyists for the fossil fuel industries are all about the money at the expense of the planet.

Had to google that one...

@Robecology United States Supreme Court

@Killtheskyfairy Not exactly...but close!

The U.S. Sentencing Commission, a bipartisan, independent agency located in the judicial branch of government, was created by Congress in 1984 to reduce sentencing disparities and promote transparency and proportionality in sentencing. It was established by Republican Senators under Reagan's watch.
