just something.....moments ago I was outside. off in the east there was a lot of racket from fireworks which I could not see. off in the West I could see flashes of light from a thunderstorm but could not hear the thunder.

saw this Critter on the door today.... don't recall seeing one before.... again if my amateur identification holds... this is called a "plume moth". apparently it rolls its wings up, that struck me as really funky. sort of sounds like a lot of those ...

I usually don't see but one or two of these in the summer. they're really hard to photograph cuz they move fast..... a wingless wasp that can sting you and you won't forget it.
