The original I bought in 2013 had a 270 mile range. When I traded it in at 60K miles, the range was down to 258. I traded up to the one with the best range....335 miles...the 100 D. I hear that they've tweaked that range to 375 on the newer models...so my point is they'e always improving the range.
And remember; you/I rarely take road trips. Most job commutes are under 100 miles per day....easily rechargeable overnight.

@MrLizard All the more reason to get a Tesla. I've been on a 3000 mile round trip using a Tesla every year, since 2013. The Supercharger network has been consistent, safe, easy to use, easy to find.
