Hello! Jacksonville here. Formerly Orlando for 22 years. I've been living in Jacksonville for just over a year now and am finding it much different from Orlando. I find people to be a little less accepting here. Not just of non believers but also of other races and non Republicans. It's definitely a new experience for me and i don't love it. My husband and i haven't really made any friends yet. Would love to know if anyone else is close by!

It was not a good place for me. Husband (at that time) and I had a time making friends. It was not my cup of tea.

Northern Florida seems like the South to me
I have friends there and unsure if they are religious as in over 30 Yeats the topic never came up. I want to move to Melbourne as I miss S Florida but liked it wasn't as crowded and seemed very artsy. Hope you find people you have something in common.

I'm in Melbourne and love it. We have everything that Orlando has but without the crime and traffic.
@FarahWonderland I am so glad to hear that. My best friend from the keys lives there. I visited and loved it. If my daughter wasnt r hours away from me I would have moved.
