I just feel sorry for their ignorance. Richard Dawkins speaks far greater, science-based, wisdom.

but as I said; that's my opinion. You can disagree all you like. But you're wrong about the Japanese.
If you research the Japanese you'll discover that they have the highest level of agnosticism of any advanced/industrial nation;
So, no...I don't consider the Japanese ignorant.
I like the concept, possibly not all parts of the practice. Could only read a small part of the article before National Geographic locked me out with a demand for payment.
