A subtle poem from a potential doubter.
Factories of lies churning out superstition.Open doors for all who will make a contribution.
Won’t you join us we have something to sell.
If you don’t buy in you can go straight to hell.
We have just the thing for all of your pain.
We cut off your toes and let your intellect drain . Slowly , we’ll drain you of every thought of your own.
We’ll get under your skin like a hair that’s ingrown.
The collective masses are so sure they are right.
At the least provocation there ready to fight.
They tell you that they believe in the name of love.
But they wear brass knuckles beneath their velvet glove.
Short of delusion, their promises are fulfilled after your death.
They say that they’re sure, but you notice they don’t hold their own breath.
The fervently religious can believe what they like.
Like holding back the ocean with only faith for a dike.
A dose of reality is the thing for me.
It’s not easy, but its truth you can see.
