Just needing to vent I think. So work decided that we needed to do some wellbeing rubbish. Had to get words to describe me from friends, I did that was sweet they were all very thoughtfull. At work we had to write them into a book and then add a drawing (my art is stick figures but we had so much time I got bored so I drew random pictures that I was capable of drawing) then we had to pass our books around and write in each others books. The finale was to read out to the group what was written in your book, that is a huge NO FUCK OFF from me so I left, be interesting to see how that is taken. OH they also asked if anyone did not like the activity (after getting people to say why it was so worthwhile so that makes anyone saying I hated it yet again a mark against me if I say that. I don't do public shit, I don't do emotions in public, yet I am made to feel the bad one for not wanting to do it.

Raging extroverts always assume their social neediness is how everyone operates, and to be otherwise is somehow wrong ( funny how all those acceptance thingies conveniently leave out and attack introverts, who by definition, our lifestyles should be respected just like anyone else's). Personslly. I've never participated in one. My response was always to tell them to piss off and get a life and quit worrying about everyone elses.

Somebody is Severely confusing work with psych babble! Does upper management know work time is being squandered this way?
And in the future, if asked to do stupid crap like this, ALWAYS assume it will be public, reply accordingly. (By which I mean, Lie!)

Upper management have put this into our professional development plans and we have to have a wellbeing goal. It is so annoying, I feel like putting down that my wellbeing goal is to not punch people in the face when I have to do wellbeing shit. It stresses me out more than any of the other shit going on in life at present.

Awe... those things not meant to be a psychology lesson. I just go and make up the biggest lie. ..... When they ask "How I am coping with the Corona virus???" I say.... I clean the house naked and watch porn all day while eating lots of twinkies. Then I help the neighbors out by leaving all the curtains open so they have something to talk about other than the corona virus.🙂

I love it ! Couldn't get away with that around here. You'd have to fight off 300 people compelled to pray for you 🙄

I am in the throes of constructing an e-mail to be sent to the union rep and my senior about how I felt being forced into that situation. That it was a waste of my time and next time can I please be allowed to get on with some actual work rather than having to endure this rubbish.

So gross, especially that part about getting your friends to describe you.

What is wrong with the people in that profession, than anyone would think this is constructive?

As a recovering educator, I can recall being called into the principal’s office for not participating at an inservice meeting.
I really didn’t feel like clapping my hands and repeating “no matter what you do or say - I’m still a worthwhile person.”

What kind of work place is it? I would have hated it, too.

I am a teacher, I know it is weird happy to get up in front of a class and teach but put me in front of adults and I get physically ill. We have masses of work to get ready in case they close the school and we spent time on this rubbish. Please note we had to do a wellness check up at the beginning of the week and the ones who buy into this rubbish also reported being depressed from their results me picture of mental health because I figure shit happens and it will pass.

@Budgie I'm a teacher also and have to go through those stupid things at least once a year. Hate them.
