Hello! I'm a bisexual man living in SE Virginia. I found out that I was bisexual when I was 15 years old. I put that lifestyle aside when I got married, because my wife didn't like that kind of thing. ( I did cheat a couple of times with other guys)
I don't know what I'm going to accomplish here, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Who knows? Maybe I'll make some friends. ( An unusual occurrence for me)

Sounds familiar. Society has, to some degree, managed to get its head around the idea that if you're 'properly' gay, perhaps it's okay to have a same sex relationship. But bisexuals get it in the neck from both sides: too straight for the gay community, and meanwhile the straight majority expects them to knuckle down and be practising heterosexuals, since they clearly should be able to be satisfied with that scenario. And also since that's exactly what a lot of (practising) heterosexuals are doing, in spite of being bi by nature.

As you can probably guess, I'm someone who fell for that for many years. Repressed my same sex interests. Pursued opposite sex relationships. Got married. Had a son. All the time wondering whether the fantasies that I had about same sex intimacy were more than just fantasies.

I had the 'little experiment.' It proved that I was straight. Years later (and no longer in a monogamous relationship) I experienced same sex intimacy with someone who I had feelings for. That was a completely different experience. It was the best sex I'd ever had.

I'm still bisexual at some level. Opposite sex intimacy doesn't gross me out, as it does with some. But my preference for same is much stronger than my preference for other, to the point where I have only pursued same sex relations for over 5 years now, and don't miss not having opposite sex intimacy in my life.

Yes. Definitely a spectrum, from my experience. I get straighter by the day, but a year ago would have adamantly declared I was lesbian. One thing, though. I couldn't give the first fk about anyone's opinion of my sexuality. lol
