YES...you're right...maybe if he would have been a bit more upfront. MAYBE if he would've let me know that he's curious, or that he actually IS bi...would've maybe made the difference. Not sure romance would've worked though. It actually depends on the guy usually.

Oh, no...i am GENUINELY interested. But it was just so awkward to me. i'd LOVE TO GO FOR IT...AND MAYBE I WILL. i DON'T think it would ruin our friendship if, like you said...we are both straight. Most of the M/M conversations we had were rather superficial. He had seen a video once where two guys were with a girl...and the two guys got it on together while the girl watched. I lost a good friend to this kind of drunken fumble. He was my flatmate, and probably the one person I was closest to at the time. I was bi/gay but in denial (I hadn't figured out the trans thing at that point.) I think he was just sexually frustrated, and almost certainly had no sexual experience with anything but his right hand.

Anyway, one night, a lot of drink and a slightly bogus claim of a bad back led to back rubs being given, which in turn led to mutual masturbation, which in turn led to him leaving a sticky patch on my bed and running off into his own room to deal with the horror of what he'd just done. He moved out the following day. I did manage to get him to move back in, on the understanding that it never happened again. Which it didn't. But things were never the same, and when I moved away, we didn't keep in touch.

So just be careful. Try to make sure it's what you both want, sober.
