Do you see it? A Great Blue Heron, about 6' tall, is finally back to fish in the creek behind my house! There used to be one (or more) that frequented for years, but it has been several seasons now since I've spotted one. This speaks well of my local ecosystem!

I live in Los Angeles in an area that has two rivers, a lake and open fields and hills boasting lots of local wildlife plus attracting many species of migratory birds, including these graceful giants.
