It was way past time to report when I figured out that what a Catholic Priest had done to me wasn't normal. (And he'd already been tried and sentenced).

At least you tried. I'm sorry it went all shades of wrong. We had a judge like that I when I worked at a Battered Women's Shelter. We all tried to avoid him in the system. Not very easy.

@RavenCT Thank you, sweetie. I appreciate it. It wasn't my intention to piss you off. Sometimes, I get triggered more easily than others. This was one of those times. I'll be cruising right along, just living my life, I'll see or hear something, and BAM, I'm right back there again. I try to keep that shit in check, but sometimes, I just get pissed off all over again.

@zorialoki Thanks. There are so many of us (females) who have experienced this more than once, and to varying degrees. I know there are males who have had it happen to them, too. We're ALL made to believe that it was OUR fault. That the person who did it shouldn't be held responsible. It is damned near impossible to reconcile that.

@KKGator My anger at the Catholic Church is pretty bottomless. Pretty sure I spouted off one Easter Sunday (after there were no small children present) about the "hide the priest" game the Vatican played. (Bugged eyed Catholics in that living room).

Not your fault at all.. When this crap comes up in the news - anyone who has ever been affected is going to be reminded.

Sometimes I can kind of block it out. Other times I get righteous pissed - and that's okay too.

@RavenCT I feel you. I said in another post, on another topic, that I think the catholic church should be forced to stop operating in the US. Bring RICO charges against them for running a criminal enterprise and seize all their assets and properties. Sell everything and give the proceeds to all the victims and their families. If people still want to practice that religion, they'll have to do it in their homes. If they do still practice it, they should be ostracized by their communities.

@RavenCT Seems like a judge should be unseated if they are unsympathetic to the cause of justice and they get enough complaints

@RavenCT, @KKGator Honestly you have nothing to apologize to me for, you did nothing to piss me off the situation that men put women in pisses me off. You are fine and I am sorry either of you or anyone else is dealt any type of this injustice.

@zorialoki My Mother & all three of my sisters have had multiple cases of at least major inappropriate actions or worse! The "boys will be boys", or the attitude of accepting "locker room" talk has got to end, & it's the MEN who have to do it! NO more silence! NO more chuckles! NO more "Way to go"'s! We, as men, real men, need to stand up to this attitude & outlook & take a stand! No one is "owed" anything, especially what is not yours, to begin with!

(I know 'Triggered" "Snowflakes" it's tempting to make fun - but not in reality - not one bit.

I learned a lot more working with others (Maybe more than I ever did working on myself) - because that allows you to see that you are hurting yourself by not forgiving yourself for things beyond your own control.

I actually succeeded in having a tw@t tell me to go fuck myself today on the site? Triggered... maybe I was? But he sure as hell needed to hear what I was selling even if it made not one whit of difference in his pointy little head.
