Having been the copyright person at a national newspaper, jokes and recipes are not copyrightable, so while I feel your cringe, it is not only right, it is acceptable to steal even without attribution.

@glennlab, @RavenCT I will use someone else's posts in another group, but I almost always attribute from who & where I got it. At least the first time around! Once it's in my file it's now mine!

@phxbillcee Oh I took it lock stock and barrel - including comments! And you'll note his name is attributed just like in the OP. (Which solves that stealing problem).

And yes I steal memes all the time as jpegs - from all over the place. And photos to be memed (but if It's a pet I ask).

Just remember duct tape and sponge mops
