I enjoyed the movie, but like the "Book Slapper" meme earlier, couldn't touch the book. Of course, the film would have had to have been at least six hours long to even touch on everything going on. It's a different medium, have to accept that.

It was fucking amazing. I was blown away.
Learning that Jodorowsky wanted to put Salvador Dali in the film was really interesting!
There was a mini-series on the SciFi network back in 2000. I watched some of it, but couldn't get into it.
I loved the David Lynch movie. I can't help it, and I won't deny it.
I was however, always deeply disappointed that the film killed off Duncan Idaho so quickly.
@KKGator I've heard of it, not seen it yet. I knew of the first attempt by Jodorowsky, but, even if broken up into a trilogy & after editing you are still looking at three four-hour films, at least. I don't think the cost would ever have been made back, &, when you are talking on this scale, money is the bottom line!

I saw it a couple of years ago, quite by accident, but I'm so glad I did.
