I'm tempted to reach out to her as a friend. Speaking from experience, she needs to let go of the hurt, frustration and anger first. She can't possibly find and keep the right man at this stage. Socialise, build relationships and find happiness from within before sharing that with a partner.

Yeah, but the cat wouldn't be allowed to talk to others... I really don't think she should be looking for someone at this stage. She needs to work through her trust issues first.
