@joeymf86 The history of crucifixion is a story of a civilization gone morally bankrupt. Hangings killed people too quickly...crucifixions killed them over days. They did it not just to punish, but to intimidate the population. There's records of tens of thousands being crucified along many miles/Km's of road in many nations...

@Closeted I didn't think sharing the roots of Crucifixion would be such a "downer" to you, @Closeted....but I'm not a "closet dweller" I like to share knowledge.....sorry!
I recently saw a post suggesting that if Jesus were hung instead of crucified, all the Christians would be wearing little nooses around their necks....and ash weds the priest would rub in a mini-noose on their foreheads.....LOL!
