Isn't that 2 robots? Isn't the boy-sized robot carrying a round flashy robot (OMC is it an early Room's??) around his neck?

Not me.
I was reading Little Women, didn't discover sci-fi until into my teens.
Twiki is the Android robot and Dr. Theophilis (or Theo) is the small round robot that Twiki has hanging on his chest.
