Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I worked as a Tool and Die Maker for 40 Years and work for 10 with Volkswagen of America when we manufactured cars/trucks in the US in the 70/80's . I retired Maufacturering Jet Engines and they were all in British Standard which was really set up in metric system .The metric system is the easiest system to work with and is the World Standard . We have hobbled our economy by hanging on to the British Standard System .

Yet another example of American arrogance and ignorance.
We should have switched to full metric in the late 60s. Instead,
the government spent tax dollars on a "study".
Sometimes, this country really fucking sucks in it's stubborn insistence
to buck what makes sense.
