Carlin was ahead of his time, but will never be as appreciated as he should, because atheists don’t tend to be celebrated.

He’s on the spot when it comes to how much religion controls this country.

I can only imagine the field day Carlin would be having with 45 and his merry band of asshats. He wasn't particularly political, but I don't think he ignore could the clusterfuck currently at hand. For that matter, Robin Williams and Christopher Hitchens would probably have plenty to say, as well.
