Those type magazines have been around for the AR type rifle sense the 60s when they came out with the M-16. Anyone know how many mass shootings involved using a 100 round drum magazine?

I don't own a gun but I understand reluctance to give up their guns as this government has unleashed the military onto the public and with the present attitude may do it again.

@SeaGreenEyez Obama was a gun control nut who never passed up voting for a gun control bill. He was also intent on appointing liberal judges who didn’t even recognize the 2nd amendment.

I don't know of any thing that would need to be shot 100 times or they implying that a person is such a poor shot that he needs that many rounds to hit the target. Heard of a guy that his wife shot him ten times and never hit anything that would kill him. She was pissed off that he was seeing another woman. Called him bullet proof.

Lately, I have been trying to make connections with the gun craziness and our politics. An interview today with our governor on NPR pushed some buttons and only confirmed what I am seeing. This Governor, Jay Inslee is on the ticket for presidential candidacy and running on a platform of Climate Change priority. Some other things he said showed me just how clueless he is concerning the conservatives attitude toward 'liberals' and why they are so angry. The gun issue and ultra-conservative movement is about one thing - anger.

@Trajan61 Us, so called left wing nuts don't usually carry guns and kill people. We try to work with our minds and tongues and do things a more peaceful and less violent way.
In my case the anger I have is with other left wing nuts. It helps me understand why the right wing nuts behave as they do.
@JackPedigo Yes the overwhelming majority of the democrats now days definitely fit the bill of being nuts when it comes to gun control. How many people are going to have to be killed before the gun control idiots realize that a sign is not going to stop any crazy idiot intent on shooting people. Disarming law abiding citizens only makes it worse, not better. Most of the crazy school shooters come from dysfunctional homes of liberals.
@Trajan61 When I hear "law abiding citizens" all I hear is a total lack of concern for human life and an unjustified fear someone will come and take their precious guns away. Thousand (men, woman and children) have to be maimed or murdered yet the gun nuts won't budge one millimeter. This is not just wrong it is sick and immoral and comes from a totally emotional mindset.
However, on the other side the liberal mindset toward excessive immigration is just as wrong and immoral. It is also based on a purely emotional viewpoint and these two extremes give us what we have, insanity and death.
I don't usually block people but when I feel a person has no stance but their own hyped up emotion I will block them. I want a reasoned debate not one based on lies.
