A Search on kinds of anthropology gets There are four types of anthropology: cultural anthropology, archaeology, physical (biological) anthropology, and linguistic anthropology. These four types allow anthropologists to study the total variety present in our species.

UK writer Joss Sheldon, with Democracy: A Users Guide may have initiated a fifth type, political anthropology. It’s about the forms of democracy used by people in different places, even the limited form used by chimpanzees to replace a too-aggressive alpha male. Homo too often fails to do that. Does anyone want to look at his book, available for Kindle readers, and want to confirm or disconfirm?
