Drugs? Or mental health issues?
The Bronx Zoo says a woman who climbed inside its lion exhibit could have been killed
[cnn.com]
I’ve looked for information about this and no reports seem to note why she did this? As police aren’t pressing charges I imagine she may have just been unaware of the dangers. No doubt if she is suffering from mental health issues they referred her to a suitable assessment ward. I’m not sure what would happen if she was high? Would they take her in to sleep it off? Everyone was safe anyway.
So it now seems zoos have to build stronger fences not to keep the animals from getting out but the visitors from getting in. I wonder how many of these are religious fanatics trying to prove their 'savior' will protect them?
Although the woman appears to be over age 30, I think there is a reflection of a populace without knowledge or contact with the wilderness and/or wild creatures. Animals in a zoo can seem as metaphor for animated characters, rather than the reverse. Sadly, there is a new genre of ignorance among Americans, in particular.
Posted by Ray13I just joined this group, thought it would be best one to post something like this: Thought this might interest some of my fellow agnostics - I just donated my 160th pint (total 20 gallons) of blood...

Posted by Reason-AbleI’m 54 and bored. I needed a project and decided to buy a truck and make it my project. I’ve been adding little mods to it every weekend. Any other vehicle enthusiasts in the group?

Posted by flower_nutMy mother's best friend worked for the local newspaper and decided to dress me as a leprechaun and use it for Saint Patrick's Day. I was a smiling leprechaun, whatever that was?
