the right word comes,
later the right perspective.
But at the time, the mind reaches out
like a foot in the dark
for a step that is not there.

So I look back
whenever I get a chance,
and redream different parts of the dance,
and place my foot here
rather than there,
and say the right word,
and move through the patterns with grace.
A knowing smile on my face.

No stumbling,
no stupefied look overtop of a stammer,
no hammer on thumb instead of the nail.
All nails driven straight and true;
the structure solid, sound—
I hang my life around
this frame,
working backwards from now.

Thank you.

This is the process of learning we all must go through. Make mistakes improve for the next dance or experience. This is life's lessons. Well done
