The following is an interpretation/translation from an Italian poem for children
(La Vispa Teresa)
The joyful Teresa, playing happily on the grassy, green knoll
Discovered a butterfly that flew out from that mall
Happily she seized her and then loudly she cried:
"I got her! I got her! And I won't let her die!"
The butterfly, praying to her by and by, said to Teresa:
"What is bothering you? My living, My flying?"
"Please let me go, you're hurting my wings y might die,
"I'm just like my sisters, to live, I need flying."
Repentant Teresa, in hearing that plight
Released her grasp on her wings
And the butterfly happily resumed her flight
