Tonight Iā€™m posting some very typical local Zither music from the Chiemgau area in the Upper Bavarian region of Germany, very close to the Austrian border. These young people get together to make traditional music dressed in local traditional Bavarian costume. Three zithers and one guitar playing together - The young men play the instruments...the young women enjoy the music and the local regional wine...seems fair to me!

I guess I'd call it an arch guitar. The bass strings were set out as octave notes. That was a lovely change. I used to have some records of that type of music.

Yes... like it too. I have visited Austria and Bavaria often and love their traditional music.
