My post today is another Celtic collaboration, this time between Scotland and Ireland. We have Irish born folk singer Heidi Talbot duetting with Scottish singer-songwriter Louis Abbott - accompanied by the legendary Mark Knopfler on guitars. Mark is of course a Geordie…but he was born in Glasgow…so he’s a Celt at heart too! - The Loneliest from Heidi’s 2013 album Angels Without Wings.

She has a lovely voice! Mark’s playing was great, but he didn’t sound as good as I thought he would. Aging affects those vocal chords. 😘

It wasn’t Mark Knopfler singing Rhonda…it was Scottish singer Louis Abbott. I thought he sounded all right..the two voices didn’t jar with each other.

@Marionville My bad, I didn’t read the post correctly. The two voices were not bad together, I just didn’t care for Mr. Abbott’s voice with her’s. 😉

Simply love her singing and Mark's playing. I do not think that his voice fits with hers.

Maybe not…it sounds ok…not great, but very few have great voices. He is a guest singer ..it’s her album track, so I suppose she must’ve thought his voice would blend suitably with hers.
