If you could improve one of the following areas of your life: Love, Social Network, Career and Sense of Purpose, Health, Environment, and/or Fun-- which would you choose?

Why just one?

But seriously, I would say Health, because without that, it makes the rest far less enjoyable.

The need to have some there to share memories and create levit with is strong. Seems like every woman is so hypocritical that I ask myself is the effort really worth the rewards.

i feel the same with men, so maybe it's just that - what? 80... 90%? of any population is too busy pretending. no energy left for the real thing.

I am Retired, my children are grown and good standing citizens! I am in Top Notch Health! Love or fun... lets see.... having fun does not means loving... being in a loving relationship means a lot of Fun... so Love is my final answer.

Environment. I wanna move!

sandyw1952 Level 6 Mar 18, 2018

Any ideas where?

@JackPedigo California, from North Carolina.

@sandyw1952 I lived in Northern Calif. as a teen (Sacramento) and my daughter lives near LA. To me S. Calif. doesn't compare to the North.

At my age, it would be health. With better health, I could take care of the rest for myself.

Good answer...

Love, with love all of the others are attainable. Being without love in some form or another is hell in my opinion.

Sense of purpose, or lack thereof, has been tormenting me lately. I can't seem to accept that I don't have one true purpose.

What things interest you? There are many topics which could use your involvement. If you like hiking or the outdoors, support environmental groups or fight for better policies. if you like animals, volunteer at an animal shelter. Right now there is a great opportunity to be involved in trying to get assault weapons and high capacity magazines banned. Two years ago I started raising butterflies and grew a butterfly garden. Now I am involved with the league of Women Voters and trying to work on change on many fronts.

Just keep trying different things. Another woman at an Autistic adult support group thought I might be good at working with Autistic children. 16 years later, I still do.

I really really really enjoy being an introvert. But i wish that I could turn that off at times and just do things more. I guess that would fall under "Social Network" in more organic natural sense of the term.

One of the perks to being in a relationship is that I have that person that just says "Let's go...we are doing this" and I enjoy that. Helps me become more.

We can always use more fun

Our Environment...
I came out of prison with nothing left to lose. A twisted mess... Now, I'm determined and ready to build earth-ship like, regenerative homes. It's my hands-on path to genuine freedom; homes that meet all our basic needs, while fostering a deeper communion with loved ones, neighbors and Mother Earth...

All of the improvements leads to LOVE.

Love for sure. All the others can be attained while being alone. All the others can be improved upon with the right company.

Support for this idea perhaps?

I have all the others (career is done) but love was lost so that one is missing.

Health, because it underlies love, social network, career, and fun. With my health, I would be able to do much more to help develop these things.

For me, the answer is easy: my health. I'm now a senior citizen and many of the ailments and associated problems have set up shop in my body. Damn!

Life is pretty good, I would like a healthy relationship with a lovely lady,
I would like to see the environment saved, my personal environment is pretty good.

I think what you want to do is absolutely amazing 🙂

@Maidenkitty thank you!

Health. I trusted doctors and was given benzos being assured they were safe. Not! Struggling through withdrawals and the horrid side effect. 8 months out and still battling but good signs of lessening symptoms, so I will keep going and see myself out the other side, hopefully soon! Otherwise I've always been healthy.

I am working on my social networking. Its hard for me to make connections because i tend to be quiet & cautious until i get to know someone because I don't want to hurt feelings with my twisted sense of humor or sarcasm. I also know that the 'getting to know you' aspect of socializing usually has that 'best foot forward' thing going on. Its not until people become comfortable that the real personality becomes exposed & I do not suffer fools lightly.

Imagine my initial shock, then anger when this person i was getting to know voiced their "sorrow" for my "situation" with my "mixed" 3 yr old grandson (his mother is Punjabi). I smiled & said, "I'm shocked you noticed. Most people don't recognize me as black but then again, we don't make it a big deal since my dad being white & marrying a black woman could have gotten them both lynched in 1949." She just stared, mumbled something about work & walked away.

I tend to have a small circle of friends & keep most others in the acquaintance category until i'm sure they aren't a waste of time & flesh.

I should explain...
I’m healthy, and work to continue that way.
My career is successful, and I’m exploring options to take it in new directions.
My social network is broader than it’s ever been in my life, and with truly genuine people. The only hassle is that the closest person I know is over an hour away, but the network itself is wonderful.
I took a step back to consider my sense of purpose, and I am happy with it. It’s about helping others, and few things make me happier.
Doing each of the things above is fun for me, so I’m good there.
My environment is tough... the people around me do not make me feel safe or happy. And I live too far from everyone and everything I care about. But my children want to stay, and it’s good for them, so I don’t want to change it.
But I gave up the love of my life so that I could live. They’re still here, but as a close friend. It hurts.
Having a person who you love wake up in the morning and roll over so that they can kiss you... I would give almost anything to have that.

Well, I'm not too worried about the career, I'm counting days to retirement. I have a sense of purpose, I like my environment or at least won't change it. I have as much social network as I can stand, my health needs some work, my idea of fun is different than most of the world's, but my love life is non existent. My kids love me, I have friends and my kittie girls, but that one special person is elusive.

I would say love and a sense of purpose would be my choice. I don't have a love life and finding someone doesn't come easy for me. I am lacking a sense of purpose too. Nobody truly has a purpose so it's up to us to create our own. Thing is I have trouble doing that. This world is becoming more and more ridiculous and trying to figure out where I fit in is difficult.

I have health, so I choose love.

Environment. That would significantly and positively impact my life in a number of ways including social network, health, and fun. I'm looking forward to moving out of the bible belt.
