This is so sad when the reality is the influenza virus is just as likely to kill people under 70 as a coronavirus.
This is the cost of "feeling safe". Worth it? Feel safer?
We need to report medical cases not active ones.
We can protect ourselves many ways. A vaccine is the most extreme way but if that is used it should allow other protective measures to be dropped and if that does not happen, crazy mandating a vaccine which bypassed most normal testing protocols ie emergency approved ie cannot mandate. Our govt is well aware of this so are conning employers to mandate as legally they cannot. No liability with emergency approved medicines. Be aware of that

Firstly, by NO mens are vaccines/vaccinations the "extreme way," they ARE, at present, the ONLY with COVID 19 and its variant the Delta COVID 19.
Vaccines USED SOLELY without other preventative measures in this, or any other pandemic/epidemic situation would be, imo, as much use as Tits on a Bull or Pissing on a Forest Fire hoping to extinguish it.
FYI, @powder, NO Government of Australia, Federal or State/L.G.A. etc, are conning employers to 'mandate' vaccination/s.
Stores such as Coles, Woolworths, City Councils, etc, etc, have VOLUNTARILY implemented the Vaccination of ALL Eligible Employees, etc, on behalf of the SAFETY, Security, Health Status, etc, etc, of EVERYONE INCLUDING Customers/Clients, etc, etc, that the Employees may meet , etc, during a working period, etc, etc.
Btw, most Stores are actually PAYING Staff and Employees to GET Vaccinated and GIVING them PAID Leave time to do so.

@powder I was GOING to point out to you, @powder, that as a person ages so their Immune system, etc, etc, ages and becomes a little less 'quick to react,' etc, etc, as each and every year passes.
On occasions it has crossed my mind from time to time that in some, a couple examples who shall remain unnamed here, persons age also appears to reduce the intelligence and sensibility, etc, of them as well.
FYI, @powder, COVID Variant Delta has shown itself to far less age selective than COVID-19, though it still wreaks havoc on the UNVACCINATED be they young or old.
A little friendly advice/suggestion here for you @powder, It is ALWAYS advisable to ENGAGE the BRAIN BEFORE putting the mouth into Drive or First Gear.

@powder The ANSWER to her question would be that EVERYONE dies at some time or other in the their life.
