Then the electricity went off for 5 or six hours in unpleasant humidity & darkness.
It's now 27th & the day is over bar the shouting & backstabbing. The annual awards were interesting for including a doctor taking medicine to some of the 100+k Australians homeless, living & dying on the streets of this third world nation together with a bloke in a wheelchair who plays tennis and a woman from the country fighting the other Australian disease - alcoholism.
Oh, and the now obligatory domestic violence of the year award recipient. This year's contemptuous of the Prime Minister, refusing to shake his hand, probably because like the Pope he is fond of covering up the allegations of sexual misconduct by his fellow MP's including the Attorney General & deputy PM Barnaby Joyce.
