I will just say my father was recorded as a covid death as he was positive when he died. However my family and all staff at the nursing home know he died of dementia. They were required to put covid on the death certificate.
There is a big difference in dying from covid and dying with covid, so going from my personal experience, I would say deaths attributed to covid is being exaggerated.
CDC covid certificate deaths are purely from 6% covid. Its likly from the 94% underlying deathly health conditions a covid patient has died. It just doesn't pay financially as well to the hospital having the other health conditions as the main cause of death.
Understand that's the case in the US eg a financial incentive to record deaths as being from covid. Not sure if that is the case here in Australia. Would not surprise.
@puff thanks to the st's the whole medical system has become a rort by greedy doctors perverting the hypocratic oath & worthwhile practice of medicine. Is garbage collection any less valuable?
@FrayedBear Mum has depression and see's her Dr every month just for a chat. Also my Dr and boy, has she changed tact. From lecturing me why I should get the vax and informing me she had been directed from above to not give exemptions, being surprised I arranged access to my father via my common sense risk assessment whilst being unvaxxed, to most recently conveying to my mother she is now disgusted with the whole way it was handled.
I think a lot of the medical profession feel the same ie handled very very badly and as you say, trashing the Hippocratic Oath.
@puff it was trashed once American & British insurance companies were allowed to get in on the act. They generate so much cash flow that they can bribe political parties & politicians to subvert the people's national health scheme & result in a shortage of trained doctors.
If Albo had any sense he would be offering Cuba a contract to supply doctors particulary for underserviced country areas.
@FrayedBear Cuba did have, maybe still does, the best medical system in the world.
