The Federal Court 30 years ago claimed that it could not uphold international human rights conventions agreed to & signed by Australia. The annual Federal Parliament enquiry & Attorney General were advised shortly after. Again sweet Fanny Adams was done to drag Australian law into line with what it has internationally agreed to do.
In the mid 1990's legislation proposed by UN Secretary General aspirant, Kernot shagger & adulterer Gareth Gareth Evans (ALP), & following representation by the fish tight wearing Alexander Downer (Liberal) proposed that Australia ignore human rights conventions not enacted into Australian legislation.
At Federal Senate committee hearing into this legislation proposed by Gareth Evans I was the only person in writing to call out the Federal Government's hypocrisy. I was at the hearing however verbally well supported by Australia's former judge, Elizabeth Evatt AC. elected to the United Nations Human Rights Committee in 1992 & serving as a member from 1993 to 2000, who also called out their hypocrisy. A fact that probably made it difficult for them to charge & gaol me for contempt of the parliament.
