We just had a referendum here, promoted by Albo (PM), to give our indigenous people, the ones who occupied the land before we got here, a direct voice to parliament. It failed and poor Albo very disappointed in us, have we no soul?

It gave Aboriginal representative direct access to parliament, but parliament were under no obligation to take any notice of them. There were zero details of how it would work eg How many on the board of Aboriginals, one, two, ten or one hundred? How long would their terms be, or is it for life? etc etc
Why it got voted down imo.
