Hillsong church conference
It was free untill 2006(not sure what year). now they sell ticket at about $160. don't know how much it is exactly.
the ticket was trading in Gumtree at $200-$250 for 1.
the most awful is that they sell ticket for Christmas show as well.
it was $5 in 2006.( don't know it changed now into free) they said it is for security seat. makes sense. but it makes me sad. even Christmas day show... the church charge. :{
they make a church as a market place.
it looks nice and fantastic. people don't mind to for that spectacle show.
The more luxury shows the more people come as like fly come to the light.
I want to be slain by the spirit just once before a I die.
what's new? & above all: what is the point you're trying to make?
yeah? then, what's new for ya to talk about mate? new iPhone, new nike shoes, new gal friend? what's the comments u wanna say mate?
@SunLee, i am still not clear about what you are getting at. i know that the church is a greedy & abusive institution, taking whatever they can for free, so there's nothing new in that. i trust that you are not seriously expecting the agnostic community to commiserate with you on the issue.
@walklightly So, is that reason for u to come to the agnostic group to get ccommiseration? U think that u should write ur thought only when u can get commiseration right? Is the theme of agostic new ? for thousands of years it has been issued whether God is real or not is there real super natural power or not?
It may be too boring to ya if u are expert to Hillsong story but might remind someone of what the function of church becoming these days, and Australia has one of mega business churches of the world here.
I think that I made a point quite clearly again and
again.
Unfortunately I can't help u further if u can't get it. Ta
@SunLee, no need to get antagonistic. i'm on this site for friendly, non-religious community, not to argue pro or con "god".
@walklightly
Sorry I lost now what was ur point to comment abt mt writing.
U are sure that eveybody knows abt hillsong story so, should I not write abt it unless any new happened in hillsong?
Well... i don't have any new. All thoughts have been stored up in my mind long time. U might wld know everything I write. I'd better leave this group until find a new one mate.
@SunLee, yes.
Gathering that big they'd have to have licensed security, first aid post, all the works and jerks.Event management doesn't come cheap. Just imagining some security operator who usually does the door at the Mustang Bar or wherever, getting the gig at the Hillsong Church, the crowd may be as irrational as at the Mustang by 3am but not as likely to pick a fight or throw up on your shoes.
Christ in a sidecar - and, yes, I use my catch phrase advisedly here - it's a business; an industry. A very clever money making exercise. FFS.
Can't be doing with shallow Hilldong happy clappy nonsense.
The very thought turns me gizzards!
