When I become despot of Australia, I'm having Summer abolished. It's too damned hot – on several days!
It might require a nuclear war to achieve this.

When you get to be the Aussie Despot can you pass a law that it MUST rain in the Inland for at least every third day of the week during Autumn and Spring, we haven't seen decent rainfall out here since Moses played Fullback for Israel.

@Beelzebant Forget the fancy car and castle this way mate, I'd settle for just the Butler, actually a Female Butler aged around 45 - 55 would be great, and a new Royal Enfield 500cc Motorcycle with a Sidecar. I've got my own " castle," sort of, since after all a mans' home is his castle isn't it.
winter ends with the spring equinox on 23rd of september ... yes, despite the date being hard to remember this applies to 'straya too ?

I have been saying this all along, I think the issue is Aussies have trouble remembering dates? But seriously, how hard is it? Spring starts after the equinox as does Autumn, Summer Starts on the longest day of the year and winter on the shortest.
@Rugglesby, is a mental inertia, all right.
Too bloody right! Another winter I've managed not to off myself due to winter blues. Getting harder every year though.

Perhaps you better fill up your backpack and head north my man! I don't much like winter in qld but at least we don't get those cold winds off the antarctic.
@MsDemeanour I wish. But further north that QLD, actually, in fact Thailand, where I once lived and adored, including the weather. Keep hoping I can expatriate again. SA weather 'ain't' to my taste.
