Yes, it's a problem with policies and Bill S. Not the ideological wasteland that is the ALP post Hawke Keating. Not the ruinous right wing NSW faction who have run the show to the ground since then.
Perhaps they could try standing for something and sticking to it. Who am I kidding? It's too late. And anyway the NSW union - right wing faction wouldn't stand for it.
The ALP needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. No one including Albanese has the power to do that. We are stuck with a failed political party, supposedly on the Left.

Most sadly, I tend to think it WILL lead Australia back to the 'Dark Ages' where the Plebs ( common people) are considered as being little more Feudal Serfs or worse having NO hope of Advancement, perpetually RENTING homes from the self-appointed ' Nobles/Nobilities, ' etc.
As the Golden (???) Idol and Exalted Doyen of the Liberal Party, Robert, 'Pig-Iron Bob,' Menzies often used to proclaim loudly and vehemently, " The commoners of this land SHOULD NEVER be permitted to rise above their station in Life, they SHOULD only be PERMITTED to earn such as that they can afford the very barest of essentials of life, NEVER be permitted to own and occupy lands and homes of their own and NEVER be able to afford the luxuries, etc, that we, the people of Class and Breeding, have and hold dear unto ourselves."
