Is this a photography or anecdote club, and for birds from which countries/continents? Adding photos is difficult since the file has to be small. This is a male Olive-backed Sunbird, photographed near my place, in Songkhla, Thailand

Hi everyone! I'm a big fan of birds. I have a Fischers African lovebird that allows me to live with him. (I rescued him from an aviary). He's shy, but loves his scritches. I also enjoy birding and am lucky enough to live in the wilds of Maine.

(L) welcome to all of us, fellow birders! I love all birds, the ones who soar high, the swimming, ducking, diving ones, the waddling ones, the trilling, warbling, cheeping, big, cute, awe-inspiring ones. I love the rakishly colourful ones equally ...

This is a Bush Stone Curlew I found on the road on North Stradbroke Island in November. He is less than a day old in this pic and couldn't follow his parent and sibling any further. As far as I know he is fine now, we collected him, took him to some ...

The bald eagle used to be my favourite bird - when I was a child in the USA. But as an adult, in AUS, I've learnt to love the inquisitive magpies and crows. Research has shown that they actually recognise and remember people. Here are magpies that ...

I am not exactly sure what the scope of this group is (serious birders, photographers, backyard feeders, pet birders, raising of avian livestock, fans of birds, or all of these), but, before I find out otherwise, thought to post a fave bird video. I ...

Society Finches... I once kept a pair of society finches, like this little guy, as pets in a small aviary. They were really neat, with a cute little song and dance that they would do on their perches.

When recently I needed to don my garden hat I was quite out of luck: 7 microbats had snuggled in for the day, which became a 5-day visit, at which point they probably had caught up with their mob.

This guy adopted us 5 years ago, there are 3 of them and they come for a chat and food, maybe 15 days a year. We had a bad bushfire and one day they turned up all burnt and not well at all. We always make sure there is plenty of water for birds, but ...

I am the beloved choice of mate for an umbrella cockatoo and an african grey parrot. Does anyone else have any psitticine companions, ot have any questions about what living with large birds is all about?

He's nothing fancy or exotic by any means, but this was the best, coolest, funniest, most loyal bird I've ever had. The late, great Squidgeon.
